Enterprise Squad puts on workshops for young people. We believe that enterprise education should be accessible and exciting for young people. Our members are given the opportunity to learn skills such as team work and basic accounting, use drama techniques to develop presenting and speaking skills and manage stress, through relaxation and mindfulness.
Our Workshops
Enterprise Squad workshops enable young people to get an insight into the world of business and enterprise. They undertake activities that are curriculum-linked, disguised as accessible projects and challenges. Enterprise Squad develops initiative, resilience, curiosity, financial awareness and public speaking skills.
Each session, participants will learn about different elements of business enterprise, through interactive, themed workshops. From pizza delivery, to launching a sports event, the team will undertake relevant and fun tasks in order to solve the problem presented to them.
Our Vision and Values
We encourage our members to pursue the following values in all workshops.
Confidence
While this may not happen right away, we hope each individual will develop and feel confident in their group, learning, making friends and presenting.
Communication
Nothing was ever solved without it! We encourage lots of communication, as it is after all "the key to personal and career success" Paul J Meyer.
Creativity
Imagination! We want all our members to use their creative imagination to solve the problems given to them. After all, how else will they beat the competition??
Courtesy
All members will have respect for others, be attentive listeners and positive contributors.
Character
We hope that Enterprise Squad will allow all members to be themselves and flourish in a safe, nurturing and respectful space.
Collaboration
Many of our activities will involve members working in groups and cooperating to develop ideas, just as they will in the world of work.
